Highly pure MCT oil from fresh coconuts from Sri Lanka with a particularly high content of
C8 (caprylic acid) and C10 (capric acid). The special composition provides
98 % C8 + C10 in the optimal ratio and stands for fast, efficient energy availability.
MCT stands for “Medium Chain Triglycerides” – medium-chain fatty acids that are metabolized differently by the body than long-chain fatty acids. While conventional fats require several conversion steps, MCTs enter the liver directly and can be rapidly converted into energy there.
This organic MCT oil deliberately contains only the medium-chain fatty acids C8 (caprylic acid) and C10 (capric acid). C8 is known for particularly fast energy availability, while C10 provides energy with a slight delay. The combination enables a balanced and steady energy supply.

What is MCT oil?
MCT oil consists of medium-chain triglycerides, usually derived from coconut oil. These fatty acids are metabolized faster than long-chain fats and serve the body as a rapidly available source of energy.
What do C8 and C10 mean in MCT oil?
C8 (caprylic acid) and C10 (capric acid) refer to the length of the fatty acid chains. C8 is converted into energy particularly quickly, while C10 works slightly slower but provides longer-lasting energy. A high proportion of both fatty acids is considered a quality feature.
Why is a high C8 content important?
C8 has the shortest chain length among MCT fatty acids and can be converted into ketone bodies particularly efficiently. Therefore, it is often preferred in ketogenic diets.

Bio-MCT-Öl by Dr. Michalzik is subject to strict examinations of German supervisory authorities. It is manufactured by use of gentle production technologies without heat or additives in the capsule filling and without the use of processing agents which are not required to be mentioned on the packaging.
No industrially produced silicic acid (silicon dioxide) flow aid.
Biotikon does not use silicon dioxide or silicic acid
(SiO2, known as E551) as a flow aid.
The foundation for product testing "Stiftung Warentest" states
that those may contain nanoparticles. Silicic acid or silicon dioxide in dietary
supplements has been discouraged.
Bio Suisse has terminated approval
of silica or silicon dioxide. Silica from horsetail is not to be confused with this industrially
produced silica.
No Aluminum Contained
A large number of nutritional supplement providers use aluminum as a sealant for cans.
During the sealing process an aluminum foil is strongly heated by a high frequency electromagnetic field.
We deliberately do not use this method!
Without talcum!
The release agent and lubricant talcum which is used for manufacturing of tablets or capsules can contain
asbestos fibers. Biotikon completely dispenses with the use of release agents and lubricants in their
capsule production.
