Attention! All Curcuma Products Are Not Equal!

Frequently, curcuma products available on the market are contaminated.

Curcumin, the most important ingredient of curcuma, is very valuable, but now it also can be produced synthetically. Often some percentage of natural curcumin is mixed with a considerable amount of artificially produced curcumin, so as to disguise the non-natural origin of the synthetic materials. One can only be sure if a C14 analysis is available. Synthetically manufactured curcumin is considerably cheaper.

The only method to determine the naturalness of a curcuma product is the so-called isotope measurement. This is an elaborate, expensive analytical method that only a few institutes carry out. By measuring C14 carbon atoms in the material, one can determine whether components of petroleum are present: synthetic curcumin is produced from petroleum, and can be told from non-natural curcumin by this method.

Curcuma longa by Dr. Alexander Michalzik M.D. is not comparable to curcuma root powder, but is highly concentrated with 95% natural curcuminoids. Curcuminoids consist of natural curcumin, demethoxy-curcumin and bis-demethoxy-curcumin. This corresponds to the natural composition of the curcuma longa root, but in a much higher concentration.

To receive the daily dosage of recommended curcuminoids, you would have to consume 62 grams of simple curcuma root powder. Curcuma root powder often contains only between 2 to 5 % curcumoids. Besides the valuable curcuminoids of Dr. Michalzik's Curcuma longa this product is also enriched with Vitamin C.

Curcuma by Dr. Michalzik is subject to strict examinations of German supervisory authorities. It is manufactured by use of gentle production technologies without heat or additives in the capsule filling and without the use of processing agents which are not required to be mentioned on the packaging.

No industrially produced silicic acid (silicon dioxide) flow aid.
Biotikon does not use silicon dioxide or silicic acid (SiO₂, known as E551) as a flow aid. The foundation for product testing "Stiftung Warentest" states that those may contain nanoparticles. Silicic acid or silicon dioxide in dietary supplements has been discouraged. Bio Suisse has terminated approval of silica or silicon dioxide. Silica from horsetail is not to be confused with this industrially produced silica.

No Aluminum Contained
A large number of nutritional supplement providers use aluminum as a sealant for cans. During the sealing process an aluminum foil is strongly heated by a high frequency electromagnetic field. We deliberately do not use this method!

Without talcum!
The release agent and lubricant talcum which is used for manufacturing of tablets or capsules can contain asbestos fibers. Biotikon completely dispenses with the use of release agents and lubricants in their capsule production.
