In India, the neem tree has been considered a versatile plant for centuries and is known as the "village pharmacy." Careful processing and raw material selection ensure consistently high quality.

Neem is a natural plant powder with a long-standing tradition. In many cultures, it has been traditionally used for generations – leaves, bark, seeds or oil are processed into various preparations. For our product, we use only finely ground leaf powder, which is particularly rich in secondary plant compounds and naturally processed.

Originating from India, the neem tree (*Azadirachta indica*) can grow up to 40 meters tall and live for over 200 years. In Ayurvedic herbal science, it is considered a gift from the heavens. The large leaves contain over 100 bioactive components, including typical bitter substances such as nimbin and azadirachtin. In Ayurvedic teachings, neem is said to balance the doshas Pitta and Kapha and is traditionally considered astringent, pungent and bitter.

Our capsules offer simple, flexible and precise dosing – ideal for daily use or short-term intake over 2–6 weeks. Intake is recommended on an empty stomach in the morning or between meals. If you have a sensitive stomach, it is also well tolerated after meals.

Neem by Dr. Michalzik is subject to strict examinations of German supervisory authorities. It is manufactured by use of gentle production technologies without heat or additives in the capsule filling and without the use of processing agents which are not required to be mentioned on the packaging.

No industrially produced silicic acid (silicon dioxide) flow aid.
Biotikon does not use silicon dioxide or silicic acid (SiO₂, known as E551) as a flow aid. The foundation for product testing "Stiftung Warentest" states that those may contain nanoparticles. Silicic acid or silicon dioxide in dietary supplements has been discouraged. Bio Suisse has terminated approval of silica or silicon dioxide. Silica from horsetail is not to be confused with this industrially produced silica.

No Aluminum Contained
A large number of nutritional supplement providers use aluminum as a sealant for cans. During the sealing process an aluminum foil is strongly heated by a high frequency electromagnetic field. We deliberately do not use this method!

Without talcum!
The release agent and lubricant talcum which is used for manufacturing of tablets or capsules can contain asbestos fibers. Biotikon completely dispenses with the use of release agents and lubricants in their capsule production.

Recommended intake:
