Native OPC with OPC, other polyphenols and camu camu extract. Please note that we supply a Certificate of Analysis! The company headquarters of Biotikon^® are in Germany and therefore are subject to strict monitoring. Almost all suppliers of OPC are located abroad, even though they have a German website.

Labels from various OPC or grape seed extract suppliers claim 95% OPC, suggesting that this amount of OPC is obtainable. In general this percentage does not refer to pure OPC, but to OPC grape seed powder,, which may only contain small percentages of OPC. Pure OPC is proanthocyanidins without monomeric proanthocyanidins. OPC is defined differently by various manufacturers and can also be measured with alternate analysis procedures. You should always insist upon seeing an analysis certificate and also pay attention to the analysis method! OPC Plus Certificate of Analysis (click here to view OPC-analysis) German companies like Biotikon^® are certifiable. A reliable analysis for the measurement of the OPC content is the RP-HPLC method. In particular we use the RP-HPLC method which is the most commonly used analysis method for high-quality plant materials. Other methods may show different values. A statement of OPC 95% should be critically scrutinized.

OPCplus by Dr. Alexander Michalzik additionally contains high-quality camu camu extract (Camu Camu is the richest vitamin C plant known in science).

OPC by Dr. Michalzik contains an exceptionally high concentration of OPC (oligomeric procyanidins). Only materials of the highest quality are used. Dr. Michalzik’s OPC contains no fillers (resulting in significantly higher production costs) using only natural substances.

Polyphenols are not just OPC! In addition to 160 mg of OPC (according to RP-HPLC test specifications PV.03.P194 02) other important polyphenols (antioxidant active substances) are included. Test specification is available under www.opc-grapeseedextract.de. According to our company’s philosophy, we leave our OPC in its natural plant compound.

OPCPlus by Dr. Michalzik is subject to strict examinations of German supervisory authorities. It is manufactured by use of gentle production technologies without heat or additives in the capsule filling and without the use of processing agents which are not required to be mentioned on the packaging.

No industrially produced silicic acid (silicon dioxide) flow aid.
Biotikon does not use silicon dioxide or silicic acid (SiO₂, known as E551) as a flow aid. The foundation for product testing "Stiftung Warentest" states that those may contain nanoparticles. Silicic acid or silicon dioxide in dietary supplements has been discouraged. Bio Suisse has terminated approval of silica or silicon dioxide. Silica from horsetail is not to be confused with this industrially produced silica.

No Aluminum Contained
A large number of nutritional supplement providers use aluminum as a sealant for cans. During the sealing process an aluminum foil is strongly heated by a high frequency electromagnetic field. We deliberately do not use this method!

Without talcum!
The release agent and lubricant talcum which is used for manufacturing of tablets or capsules can contain asbestos fibers. Biotikon completely dispenses with the use of release agents and lubricants in their capsule production.

OPC concentration prozess

1. Plant polyphenols are so-called secondary plant compounds.

2. OPC stands for oligomeric procyanidins. They consist of catechins, which are connected by condensation. This produces substances with a new identity which include a larger range of efficiency than single (= monomeric) catechins. They are called pro- (proantho) cyanidines which at splitting of the compound do not disintegrate into catechins but cyanidins. Green tea for example contains only monomeric (single) catechins, which cannot have the same effect as OPC. A peeled banana will turn brown, iron will rust. The reason is the oxidation of these substances or tissues through radical oxygen molecules (free radicals).

Daily Dosage:
1 -2 OPC plus-capsules.
