Food supplement
with omega-3 from algal oil

Vegan algae oil omega-3 for children according to Dr. med. Michalzik
High-quality, vegan omega-3 oil from the microalga Schizochytrium sp. with a natural content of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid). A plant-based alternative to fish oil – sustainable, pure and free from marine contaminants.

With the addition of organic lemon oil, the oil gains a fruity, fresh taste and makes daily use easier, especially for children.

Omega-3 fatty acids are among the essential fatty acids and must be obtained through the diet. The long-chain fatty acids DHA and EPA in particular are a focus of modern nutritional science, as they are structural components of cell membranes.

Unlike conventional fish oil, this omega-3 is obtained directly from microalgae – the original source of DHA and EPA in the marine food chain. This eliminates the detour via fish, and the product is ideal for a plant-based diet.

The algal oil used provides defined amounts of omega-3 fatty acids with a balanced ratio of DHA and EPA. Extraction takes place under controlled conditions, ensuring consistently high quality and purity.

Production takes place under high quality standards in Germany. The product stands for a modern, sustainable and vegan supply of high-quality omega-3 fatty acids.

Vegan omega-3 from microalgae – directly from the original source.
Developed by physicians, laboratory-tested and manufactured in Germany.

Important questions about omega-3 algal oil

What is omega-3 algal oil?

Omega-3 algal oil is a plant-based oil from microalgae that contains the long-chain omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA. It is considered a vegan alternative to fish oil.

Why is omega-3 obtained from algae?

Microalgae are the original source of DHA and EPA in nature. Fish absorb these fatty acids via algae – algal oil provides them directly, without the detour via fish.

What is the difference between DHA and EPA?

DHA and EPA are two different long-chain omega-3 fatty acids. DHA is an important component of cell membranes, while EPA is primarily studied in connection with metabolic processes.

Is algal oil as effective as fish oil?

Algal oil contains the same omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA as fish oil. It is therefore regarded as an equivalent plant-based alternative.

Is omega-3 algal oil suitable for vegans?

Yes, since it is obtained entirely from microalgae, it is a purely plant-based source of omega-3 fatty acids and is therefore ideal for vegans and vegetarians.

What does omega-3 algal oil taste like?

High-quality algal oil is virtually neutral in taste and can be additionally rounded off in flavor with natural aromas such as lemon oil.

Made in Germany

Algal Oil Omega-3 Vegan for Children by Dr. Michalzik is subject to strict examinations of German supervisory authorities. It is manufactured by use of gentle production technologies without heat or additives in the capsule filling and without the use of processing agents which are not required to be mentioned on the packaging.

No industrially produced silicic acid (silicon dioxide) flow aid.
Biotikon does not use silicon dioxide or silicic acid (SiO₂, known as E551) as a flow aid. The foundation for product testing "Stiftung Warentest" states that those may contain nanoparticles. Silicic acid or silicon dioxide in dietary supplements has been discouraged. Bio Suisse has terminated approval of silica or silicon dioxide. Silica from horsetail is not to be confused with this industrially produced silica.

No Aluminum Contained
A large number of nutritional supplement providers use aluminum as a sealant for cans. During the sealing process an aluminum foil is strongly heated by a high frequency electromagnetic field. We deliberately do not use this method!

Without talcum!
The release agent and lubricant talcum which is used for manufacturing of tablets or capsules can contain asbestos fibers. Biotikon completely dispenses with the use of release agents and lubricants in their capsule production.

Fresh Products!
From the date of sale all of our products have a long lasting shelf life. This is possible because we process in house.

Food Safety HACCP
Biotikon products are manufactured in accordance with legal requirements and in compliance with the HACCP concept in order to ensure food safety.
