Food supplement
with frankincense

Frankincense Boswellia serrata 85% according to Dr. med. Michalzik
High-quality extract from Indian frankincense (Boswellia serrata) with an exceptionally high content of 85% boswellic acids. The frankincense used is derived from the resins of the Boswellia serrata tree and is considered one of the world’s most traditional botanicals. Frankincense has been valued and used in Indian Ayurvedic teachings for more than 5,000 years.

Boswellia serrata belongs to the Burseraceae family and grows primarily in dry regions of India. Scoring the tree bark produces the characteristic resin from which high-quality frankincense extracts are obtained. Of particular interest are the boswellic acids it contains, which are considered the characteristic marker compounds of frankincense.

Many commercially available frankincense products contain significantly lower concentrations of boswellic acids. By contrast, this extract is characterized by its standardized content of 85% boswellic acids, making it one of the particularly highly concentrated Boswellia extracts. Standardization ensures consistently high quality and a defined content of the characteristic plant compounds.

Only high-quality Boswellia serrata extract is used for this product. The capsule fill contains 100% pure Indian frankincense with no other additives. The raw material comes from wild growth in largely untouched nature and is processed under high quality standards.

Today, frankincense is among the most intensively researched botanicals of Ayurveda. Boswellic acids in particular are the focus of numerous scientific studies and make Boswellia serrata one of the best-known traditional plant extracts worldwide.

The purely plant-based capsules are made from plant cellulose and are therefore also suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Production takes place in Germany under controlled quality standards.

85% boswellic acids – exceptionally highly standardized.

Made in Germany

Frankincense Boswellia serrata 85% 450 mg by Dr. Michalzik is subject to strict examinations of German supervisory authorities. It is manufactured by use of gentle production technologies without heat or additives in the capsule filling and without the use of processing agents which are not required to be mentioned on the packaging.

No industrially produced silicic acid (silicon dioxide) flow aid.
Biotikon does not use silicon dioxide or silicic acid (SiO₂, known as E551) as a flow aid. The foundation for product testing "Stiftung Warentest" states that those may contain nanoparticles. Silicic acid or silicon dioxide in dietary supplements has been discouraged. Bio Suisse has terminated approval of silica or silicon dioxide. Silica from horsetail is not to be confused with this industrially produced silica.

No Aluminum Contained
A large number of nutritional supplement providers use aluminum as a sealant for cans. During the sealing process an aluminum foil is strongly heated by a high frequency electromagnetic field. We deliberately do not use this method!

Without talcum!
The release agent and lubricant talcum which is used for manufacturing of tablets or capsules can contain asbestos fibers. Biotikon completely dispenses with the use of release agents and lubricants in their capsule production.
