OPC from Organic Grapes GOLD

Unfortunately, OPC from natural grapes GOLD is currently no longer available. We ask for your understanding.

Commercially sold Bio OPC is usually only made of simple grape seed flour. Grape seed flour only contains a few phytochemicals and thus little OPC is included. Grape seed flour, even if it is derived from organic grapes or from conventional cultivated grape seeds, is much cheaper than grape seed extract.

"OPC from organic grapes GOLD" is a high quality, 30 to 40-fold concentrated extract. It contains significant amounts of OPC, and thus really deserves its name. Most grape seed flours contain between 1 to 3% polyphenols, i.e. 10 to 30 mg per gram. Our organic grape seed extract has a guaranteed content of more than 90% polyphenols. The grapes for "OPC from organic grapes Gold" are obtained from controlled organic cultivation within Europe. With this innovation Biotikon^® introduces a new quality standard for OPC products. The grape seeds are derived from organic grapes and then processed in an extremely gentle extraction, resulting in an organically certified OPC containing grape seed extract

To ingest the same amount of phytochemicals, as well as OPC, you would have to take about 30 capsules of 400 mg conventional compared to one capsule of "OPC from organic grapes GOLD" Biotikon^®, If comparing prices this fact should be taken into consideration.

If the price for a BIO OPC product of grape seed flour amounts to 20 Euros including the same content and same amount of capsules, you would have to multiply that price by 20 to 30 times in comparison to the price for "OPC from organic grapes GOLD".

Organic OPC extracts are rare in comparison to organic OPC grape seed flour. The reason is that not only the cultivation but also the extraction process must be certified organic No additives such as silicon dioxide or magnesium stearate are used in our "OPC from organic grapes Gold"
"OPC from organic grapes GOLD" is derived from organic OPC grape seed extract. For your assurance a special analysis (HPLC) combined with mass spectrometry demonstrates the presence of important OPCs. These mainly include dimeric procyandins (dimeric OPC) and trimeric procyanidins (trimeric OPC).

The quality of organic OPC products can generally be evaluated by different criteria.

Organic grapes are taken as a basis.
Not simple organic grape seed flour, but organic OPC grape seed extract.
Extraction process should be water and alcohol-based, but not chemically-based, certified organic. Containing of OPC definition, OPC should be stated as oligomeric prodcyanidine.
Containing dimeric, trimeric and tetrameric procyanidins.
Free of any auxiliaries or additives.

OPC GOLD from Organic Grapes by Dr. Michalzik is subject to strict examinations of German supervisory authorities. It is manufactured by use of gentle production technologies without heat or additives in the capsule filling and without the use of processing agents which are not required to be mentioned on the packaging.

No industrially produced silicic acid (silicon dioxide) flow aid.
Biotikon does not use silicon dioxide or silicic acid (SiO₂, known as E551) as a flow aid. The foundation for product testing "Stiftung Warentest" states that those may contain nanoparticles. Silicic acid or silicon dioxide in dietary supplements has been discouraged. Bio Suisse has terminated approval of silica or silicon dioxide. Silica from horsetail is not to be confused with this industrially produced silica.

No Aluminum Contained
A large number of nutritional supplement providers use aluminum as a sealant for cans. During the sealing process an aluminum foil is strongly heated by a high frequency electromagnetic field. We deliberately do not use this method!

Without talcum!
The release agent and lubricant talcum which is used for manufacturing of tablets or capsules can contain asbestos fibers. Biotikon completely dispenses with the use of release agents and lubricants in their capsule production.
