Fisetin is a natural plant substance that belongs to the group of flavonoids. It is a yellow pigment found in various plants.

Fisetin is found in various plants including fruits, vegetables and herbs. The main sources of fisetin are strawberries, apples, onions, cucumbers and kiwis. It can also be found in smaller amounts in many other foods. Fisetin by Dr. Alexander Michalzik M.D. contains 500 mg fisetin per daily dosage. Strawberries for example contain approx. 2 mg fisetin. To obtain the daily amount, you would have to consume approximately 250 strawberries.
The bioavailability of fisetin can be limited. It is therefore optimal to supplement with fenugreek seeds with glucomannans which can improve the bioavailability of fisetin.
Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) is a plant from the legume family (fabaceae) and has a rich history as a versatile natural product.
Fenugreek originally comes from the Mediterranean region, but is now grown in many parts of the world. The fruits of fenugreek consist of pods that contain seeds. These seeds are the main feature for many uses.
The seeds of fenugreek have a distinctive, slightly bitter taste and exude a pleasant, aromatic scent. Fenugreek is used in various cultures as a spice, medicinal herb and forage plant. The seeds can be used as a spice in cooking, especially in Indian and oriental cuisine.

Fisetin 500 by Dr. Michalzik is subject to strict examinations of German supervisory authorities. It is manufactured by use of gentle production technologies without heat or additives in the capsule filling and without the use of processing agents which are not required to be mentioned on the packaging.
Biotikon does not use silicon dioxide or silicic acid (SiO2, known as E551) as a flow aid. The foundation for product testing "Stiftung Warentest" states that those may contain nanoparticles. Silicic acid or silicon dioxide in dietary supplements has been discouraged. Bio Suisse has terminated approval of silica or silicon dioxide. Silica from horsetail is not to be confused with this industrially produced silica.
A large number of nutritional supplement providers use aluminum as a sealant for cans. During the sealing process an aluminum foil is strongly heated by a high frequency electromagnetic field. We deliberately do not use this method!
The release agent and lubricant talcum which is used for manufacturing of tablets or capsules can contain asbestos fibers. Biotikon completely dispenses with the use of release agents and lubricants in their capsule production.
